Weinstock Cellar Select Zinfandel, Lodi 2003

Tasting Notes:

The grapes were harvested by hand, crushed and destemmed, and fermented in stainless steel at 87º F - 92º F.  Following pressing, the wine was aged for eight months, picking up French oak vanilla notes.  The wine was not allowed to go through malolactic fermentation nor was it fined prior to bottling. 
 
Medium to deep red color, exhibiting berry, jam and spicy notes of French oak.  The wine is full bodied with rich long mouth feel.
 
Enjoy with grilled steaks, tomato based pasta sauces and barbecued brisket.
