Kabb Ranch lies north of the San Francisco Bay and east of the Pacific Ocean. Warm days, protected from cool coastal breezes by the mountains, are tempered by afternoon southerlies that bring a cooling fog to the vineyard. At night, cold air seeps through the mountains into the vineyard, bringing the temperature down considerably. This diurnal temperature variation allows the grapes to develop balanced acidity as they ripen. This single vineyard displays a rich velvet ruby color with aromas of blackberry, cinnamon and spice. Bold flavors of black cherry in the finish with silky notes of vanilla.
